Record €250m fund available for Sports Capital and Equipment Programme
Some €250m available for largest-ever investment in sports facilities nationwide
Figure represents 50% increase in funding compared with previous 2020 round
Speaking at the announcement this morning Green Party Senator Pauline O’Reilly said she is “delighted to see that Galway will receive €15.1 million to fund sports clubs across the county. This is an increase of 50% when compared to the previous round in 2020. This is excellent news and will go a long way to increasing participation in sports, something the Green Party have been pushing for since entering government”.
